The Brand Name

Just like naming a child, co-founder Sheila wanted a name that is close to the heart—simple and easy to remember.

Initially, the myDobi® logo featured a cartoon-like pair of pants and shirt, illustrated by co-founder Hong. Before adopting it as the official sign, both founders were asked a simple question: "What do you want myDobi® to become?" As you might expect, they wanted myDobi® to be a global brand.

Therefore, a new logo was created as the official emblem and has been used ever since, retaining the shirt from the original design.

The 1st flagship outlet in Miri, Sarawak (Permyjaya Outlet).

2016

1st Self-Service Smart Kiosk System in Malaysia with a built-in loyalty program.

2017

1st overseas outlet in Brunei Darussalam (Salambigar outlet).

1st outlet in Kuching (Abell outlet).

2018

1st Bi-Token Changer integrated with commercial e-wallet.

2019

MyDobi® 1st slogan “myDobi, your dobi”.

2020

myDobi® new slogan “Be Different”.

myDobi®’s Mission & Vision.

Up to 45 outlets established.

2021

myDobi® launched its official mobile application “myDobi® Connect”.

1st in the laundry industry to introduce the “Double Wash” program.

2022

Expanded to 62 outlets despite the pandemic.

myDobi® Connect underwent a rebranding and transitioned to Hiro.

1st outlet in Sabah (Warisan Square outlet).

2023

Mascot “Aslan” was born.

1st outlet in the Philippines (Wynn Plaza outlet).

Achieved 70 outlets and more to come!

2024

Achieved 100 outlets.
